As Associates for Local Partnerships we supported Cornwall Council through the LGA Council Housebuilding Support Service (CHoSS), undertaking a health check of housing delivery, governance and commercial processes. Through workshops and engagement with officers, we developed practical recommendations to strengthen delivery, improve business case development and maximise affordable housing supply within recent financial constraints.

We developed a successful funding bid for Isle of Wight Council to secure MHCLG funding via Homes England’s Council Housebuilding Support Fund (CHBSF). We are now delivering the programme, supporting the Council to build capability, capacity and delivery approaches for social and affordable housing, including site progression, funding strategies and long-term housing delivery, this dovetailing with the Council House- Building Support Service (CHoSS).

Our local government specialist authored the “Strong Vibrant Communities” report for the Surrey Association of Local Councils (SALC), which received a highly positive reception and extensive media coverage ahead of Surrey’s local government reorganisation programme, underlining the vital role of town and parish councils in shaping future governance and strengthening community leadership across the county.

Members of our team supported the Levelling Up-funded Venture Quays project that will create a new marine hub on the waterfront with over £6 million of investment. It upgrades the historic Columbine Building with a boat hoist and flexible workspace, refurbishes Victoria Barracks for UK Sailing Academy maritime training, and transforms Albany Green public realm, driving jobs, skills and placemaking.

We have supported the Minster Quarter regeneration which will transform the 5.2-acre former Civic Centre into a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood. The £250 million Minster Quarter Central scheme, led by McLaren Living, will deliver over 600 energy-efficient homes, 40,000 sq ft of retail, workspace and a 102-bed hotel, plus new public spaces like Hexagon Square, a community hub and improved public access.

Since 2019 we have managed the One Public Estate (OPE) programme across the Berkshire six unitary council areas. In that time partners benefited from over £12m to support housing and regeneration projects across the county.

This work has been cited as best practice within the One Public Estate network.

Our team working with Thames Valley Berkshire LEP developed and delivered the concept to support Berkshire's attendance at UKREiiF exploiting the county's film-making connection with Star Wars, producing an investment prospectus covering all six unitary authorities. The innovative use of Star Wars characters created a high level of media coverage for Berkshire's investment opportunities.

Our team collaborated with Isle of Wight–based consultants ERMC to secure the contract to develop Ryde’s 10-year vision and 3-year investment plan for the previous Government’s Long-Term Plan for Towns Fund. We supported the transition into Labour's Plan for Neighbourhoods programme, now renamed the Pride in Place Programme, which is underpinned by the plans we developed for the Ryde Town Board.
